More opportunity in the Heart of Texas.

Feral hogs are a regular part of the Heart of Texas hunting experience and may also be taken during certain deer and turkey hunts under the rules of the assigned property.

Ask about current hog opportunities.

Hog availability, methods and hunt structure can vary by ranch and by the primary hunt you have booked. Heart of Texas Bowhunting allows hunters to take pigs and varmints during other booked hunts, or during hog specific hunts. On most ranches, hogs may be taken with bow, crossbow or shotgun during Spring Turkey season.

Because equipment and method rules may differ between properties and seasons, confirm the rules for your booked hunt before arrival.

Good questions to ask when booking

  • Is the hog hunt stand-alone or included with another hunt?
  • What legal methods are allowed on that property?
  • Are night hunts or artificial lights permitted?
  • Are feeders or existing blinds available?
  • Are there any harvest, check-in, or carcass-handling requirements?
